The Austin, TX based guitarmakers are building some of the best-playing, best-sounding, and frankly best-looking instruments you can find. And the 71 model is a perfect example.

Collings 71 M represents further exploration of historically-informed ideas elevated through design, wood, component selection, and craftsmanship.

As with the 71 model, a carefully chosen ash body and slab sawn hard maple neck are the foundation of the 71 M, while Lollar JM-style pickups – specifically a P90 bridge and Blademaster neck – plus a Mastery Offset bridge and vibrato provide a different tonal voice and response to that of the T-style 71.

A 25 1/2” scale length, Kluson Supreme tuners, Davies Radio knobs with push-pull series/parallel on the tone, Jupiter Vintage Yellow capacitors, and narrow-tall frets round out the experience.
