Gallagher Ragtime Special
The Ragtime Special was built in 1978 for a customer that wanted a Jazz/Ragtime guitar. This auditorium-size guitar features mahogany back and sides, Sitka spruce top, voiced top bracing, zigzag backstrip, herringbone purfling and soundhole rosette. The body, fretboard and headstock are bound in tortoiseshell. The fretboard and bridge are ebony. The fretboard has Mother of Pearl snowflake inlay and the headstock features Mother of Pearl G and Bellflower inlay with open gear tuners. The standard nut width is 1-¾”. The cut-away option lends itself tastefully to this model. The Ragtime Special has been Gallagher’s best-selling small body guitar since its inception. It is a fun guitar to pick up and play everyday, with an amazing sound!
