The Yamaha Silent Trombone is part of Yamaha's “Silent” series, designed for musicians who need a quieter solution for practice sessions or for environments where noise might be an issue. These instruments feature a silent mute system that significantly reduces the volume of sound produced, without compromising too much of the playing experience

Sordina™

The system combines a high-performance Sordina with an internal microphone to capture sound. Significantly smaller and lighter than the previous version, it offers superior performance, excellent intonation over a wide range of pitches, and natural playability. A new compact design now allows you to store your instrument in its case with the mute inserted in the bell.

Brass Resonance Modeling™

The new SILENT Brass™ features Yamaha's exclusive technology, which uses Sound Synthesis to make those corrections to the timbre of the sound so that it reaches your ears exactly as if you were playing with the “free bell” trumpet. The resulting sound is so realistic that it is difficult to distinguish whether the instrument is silenced or not.

SILENT Brass™ system offers more fun

Connect the output of an audio player, smartphone, etc. to the AUX IN jack on the Personal Studio™ and have fun playing along on your own with your favorite music or “minus one” . The PHONES jack can also be used as an output jack to record what you play.

Micro USB

When the Personal Studio™ STJ is connected to a computer or smart device via the included USB cable, it becomes possible to record or participate in online lessons at home. No audio interface or complicated wiring is required. The Personal Studio™ STJ goes beyond being a personal practice tool, becoming a tool that allows the performer to connect with the world from home
