Compared with its predecessor, the P-225 offers a much shorter and slimmer body design with a compact style. To achieve a smaller product chassis, the new GHC (Graded Hammer Compact) keyboard (88 keys) was developed, which is built to uncompromising standards and offers the same feel as playing an acoustic piano with weighted keys.

The sound of a grand piano

The P-225 offers the sounds of Yamaha's best concert grand piano, the CFX, and this model uses Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) Lite technology that realistically reproduces the complex tonal changes produced moment by moment by the strings of a grand piano.

Greater ease through dedicated app

By connecting the P-225 to Yamaha's dedicated "Smart Pianist" digital piano app, you can intuitively perform all operations on the P-225 from the screen of your smart device. You no longer need to pull out the manual to see how things work.

*When connecting a smart device to a musical instrument to use the app, you can use a cable or connect wirelessly using Yamaha UD-BT01 (sold separately; iOS only).

Push-button interface that makes it easy for anyone to use

This model uses physical buttons instead of a touch panel, making it easy for anyone to use the essential functions. Apart from piano sounds, we have carefully selected only the most frequently used sounds, including the sounds of keyboard instruments such as electric piano, harpsichord, and strings

Two speaker system

The position and angle of the speakers on both the front and back of the P-225 have been adjusted to reproduce as faithfully as possible the sounds reflected from the soundboard and lid of an acoustic grand piano. This position provides the musician with a pleasant sound environment when the P-225 is placed against a wall. in addition to the speakers offering tones on the mid-high range that are crisp and clear and an important low range for a well-balanced sound, the P-225's speakers are equipped with tweeters for a richer tone on the high range.

Crisp, audible sound even at low volumes

The P series is equipped with Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC), which automatically adjusts sound quality according to volume settings. This system makes it easier to hear the reproduced sound by slightly increasing the volume of the high and low parts to match the characteristics of the human ear, which generally has trouble distinguishing the higher and lower ranges at low volume.

The new P-225 now offers this function at the time you use headphones. This provides greater comfort to your ears and allows you to enjoy playing comfortably, even when practicing with headphones for long periods of time.

Optional dedicated stand and three-pedal unit

For those who really want to play the piano instead of occasionally enjoying it on a table, we offer an optional L-200 stand and LP-1 three-pedal unit

Use of the stand provides stability, proper height and posture when playing, and the addition of the sustain pedal allows you to enjoy a more authentic playing style

Easily record audio and video and upload your performance

If you want to make a video of your performance and share it on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Rec'n'Share is the right choice. Connect the P-225 to your smart device and record video and audio simultaneously to complete your video.
