Built in '74 (serial 4XXXX) in Japan, most likely by Matsumoku for Aria, the A-557 was part of their higher-end classical series.
Some premium Aria classical guitars from this era were also crafted by the Ryoji Matsuoka workshop, especially those with “Matsumoku-style” construction and detailing.
