Gut tone has always been a constant point of reference for luthiers, composers and performers until the recent past

The development of a new synthetic product-both as monofilament and multifilament for basses-that would have the same acoustic characteristics as gut-but not the typical shortcomings-such as high cost, poor durability, and high instability to climatic changes-has therefore always been a key focus of our research work

The New Nylgut® finally represents the culmination of this by allowing the rediscovery of the sounds that were familiar to Ukulele lovers of the first half of the 20th century, as well as presenting excellent pitch stability, superior to that of the best Nylon strings
