Ron Ellis 64S Stratocaster Set non-RWRP
64S is a recreation of Stratocaster pickups developed in the early to mid 60s. Articulate and clear, the 64S have a bell-like tone with fantastic clarity and note separation. The 64S sound like what you'd expect from a genuine vintage 60S Stratocaster.
64S covers so many classic Strat sounds we're so familiar with; think of classics like Jimmi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, David Gilmour to modern artists like John Mayer and Doyle Bramhall II.
The 64S Strat is the choice of Doyle Bramhall II, Ryan Wariner, Rob McNelley, Jeff Ruiz, Mick Taylor, Joey Landreth, Ariel Posen, Kirk Fletcher, Jeff Hanna, Nalle Colt to name a few.
Non-RWRP version: the middle pickup is not Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity, as in pre-'70s Stratocasters. In this case there is no hum cancelling in the 2nd and 4th position of the switch.
Average DC: 5.6-6.1K, 10K bridge
Ron makes some of the most revered hand-wound, vintage-correct pickups on the market used by many of the greatest and discerning players on the planet.
