sE7 is a high-quality back-electret condenser, suitable for a wide range of studio and live applications, from picking up acoustic guitars to percussive instruments such as pianos or drums. Thanks to advanced acoustic design, discrete Class A circuitry, low-pass filter switches, and the absence of output transformers, the sE7 is able to deliver superior, clean and natural sound quality across all frequencies. The microphone does not suffer from "sourness" in the high frequencies nor from a lack of "punch" in the low frequencies, thus proving suitable for the pickup of any instrument and is also available as a matched stereo pair.

Discrete electronics and attenuation pads ensure an extended dynamic range, enabling the handling of high sound pressure levels (SPLs) with a low noise floor. The low-cut filter switch helps eliminate rumble and mechanical noise, while also helping to compensate for excess low frequencies due to the proximity effect. This allows the sE7 to be used for close-ups of a variety of instruments such as electric guitars, horns and drums. Its sturdy, all-metal construction and high manufacturing standards make the sE7 an absolutely reliable microphone for even the most critical footage.

The sE7's capsule is designed for natural, balanced sound quality, with an ultra-thin diaphragm providing excellent transient response. Its cardioid polar pattern makes it ideal for most live and studio applications, providing great sound output for almost any source.
