The newest amp in the Two-Rock family is the result of a strong commitment to tradition, an obsession with vintage tone and feel, and a love of modern design. The Vintage Deluxe is a single-channel amplifier built on a steel chassis and features all-tube analog reverb and bias tremolo circuits. A new feature for Two-Rock, this amplifier adds a Texture switch which changes the feel of the amp from a soft scooped front-end to a faster note attack with an increased amount of harmonic content. Another unique feature is the Tone Stack select switch. When engaged via the foot switch or toggle, the tone stack on the front on the amplifier is bypassed and a secondary tone stack with a single Tone control on the back on the amplifier becomes active. This allows you to shape your tone from dark and wooly to a nicely overdriven, organic lead tone.
The Vintage Deluxe will be offered as a 35-watt 2 x 6L6, single GZ34 tube rectified version, or a 40-watt 4 x 6V6 solid state rectified version that is switchable to 20-watts.
Available as a 1 x 12″ combo, or a head paired with either our all new 3 x 10”, or single 15” speaker cabinets. The Vintage Deluxe amp will also pair well with any of our other speaker cabinets.
The Vintage Deluxe gives you that nostalgic feeling from the golden era of tube amplifiers built in the early to mid-sixties, along with all of the performance, trusted reliability, and unique voice that you expect from a Two-Rock.
It’s no secret that Joey Landreth is one of the most impressive guitar players and songwriters of our time as well as a great friend. So when we would get together, we’d have a ton of fun talking gear and imagining what the ideal amp would look like that would suit both his playing style and aesthetic preferences. As these discussions continued, a new amp was born. His amp.
The Joey Landreth Signature amp is a single channel amplifier with analog spring reverb, and all new dual tremolo circuits. Built and created with Joey over several years, the larger head cabinet has a classic look that Joey requested. With a suede front baffle and metal trim, this amp pairs perfectly with the new Two-Rock 3×10 speaker cabinet. 100 limited edition signed chassis amps will be built and shipped in 2023.
This amp features two independent tremolo circuits, Harmonic and Bias tremolo. Harmonic tremolo, unlike the bias tremolo which modulates the output volume, modulates higher and lower frequencies separately, at the same rate, but offset in phase from one another. There is no actual change in overall volume or pitch, but the faux doppler-effect created by the phase-shifting between high and low frequencies makes it sound like a mixture of both. It is a very cool sound and takes three-and-a-half preamp tubes to accomplish. Both tremolos can be used simultaneously or independently which offers the player a myriad of tonal options, and they are both foot switchable.
“It is literally the most beautiful sounding amp I have ever played, and I would think that whether my name was on it or not,” says Landreth. “The preamp delivers the perfect edge of break up sound, kind of like something lower wattage, while the power amp delivers all the punch and thump you get from a big amp. It’s never too much even at 100 watts. The dual tremolos are icing on the cake. It would be a killer without them, but with them it makes it the perfect ‘guitar striaght into an amp’ rig. Not that it can’t handle pedals. The front end has this beautiful squish to it which makes it a perfect partner for the fuzz lovers. It’ll soak up all the harsh transients and leave you with just the good stuff.”
The single-channel Classic Reverb Signature is Two-Rock’s ultimate tone shaping machine. This harmonically rich amp can be pushed into beautiful clean or overdriven tones while still retaining the guitar’s natural voice.
The Classic Reverb Signature is available as either a head or 1-12 combo in the following power configurations; 100/50 watt (4 x 6L6), 50 watt (2 x 6L6 tube rectified, or 40/20 watt (4 x 6V6). Built on either a black or silver anodized thick aluminum chassis, this amp features our proprietary output transformer as well as an all tube analog spring reverb, 3-position Gain Structure switch, foot switchable FET circuit, tone stack bypass, and Reverb Defeat which all together gives this amp a wide range of tonal possibilities, and have made the Classic Reverb Signature such an integral part of so many artist’s guitar rigs. The 3-position Gain Structure switch changes the front end sensitivity and overall feel of the preamp; in the down position the amp feels similar to a vintage black-panel, the middle position is much like the Two-Rock Matt Schofield Signature front end with a hotter input stage, and the full up position is our traditional Two-Rock front end. On the 100/50 watt version the power output is switchable from 100 watts to 50 watts. Same goes for our 40 watt version which is switchable from 40 watts to 20 watts. On the 50 watt version instead of a half power option, the high power mode is fixed-biased and the low power mode is cathode biased. When switching wattages on the 100/50w and 40/20w versions, our proprietary output transformer compensates for impedance and phase differences so there is no adverse affect on the tone or feel of the amplifier.
The Silver Sterling Signature is a continuation of our pursuit for iconic guitar tones. Built on our newly designed silver anodized chassis, this “SSS” amp produces massive guitar tone that has to be heard and felt to be believed, and immediately proves why Two-Rock is known for creating and building products for both the serious artist and casual players alike.
After nearly a decade of R&D since the original Sterling was released, and a lifetime of listening to the iconic guitar tones this coveted amplifier has produced, Two-Rock has revisited and greatly enhanced this classic circuit. The 100 watt version is switchable to 50 watts, while the 6550 powered 150 watt version is switchable to 75 watts, and thanks to our proprietary output transformer design, there is zero performance loss when power scaling. There’s no doubt that this amp loves to be pushed to the limit, and the tone stack along with the high and low cut filter switches allow the player plenty of flexibility to create their ideal tone. There’s also a lush, tube driven reverb and a 6th 12AX7 cathode follower tube which extends the punch of the amp, adds an immediacy to the feel, and creates more headroom and clarity.
From lush cleans to Texas blues, this amp will give you the classic sounds that you’ve been searching for. Offered in standard black tolex or a clean, grey suede with silver-skirted knobs, the Silver Sterling Signature will provide you with amazing tone and classy looks as well!
Revisiting our classic 2-channel platform, the Bloomfield Drive features many of our new build techniques and upgraded components including our proprietary output transformer. When switching wattages on the 100/50w and 40/20w models, this transformer compensates for impedance and phase differences so there is no adverse affect on the tone or feel of the amp. The responsiveness, depth and bandwidth of the clean channel is instantly familiar, and cascades into an articulate, touch dynamic lead channel that is a pleasure to play. As an extension of the clean channel, this new lead channel gives the player rich harmonics, added gain, and a beautiful sustain. The highly effective tone shaping options include mini-toggle EQ switches for EQ1/EQ2, Bright, Mids, and Deep. Engaging the foot-switchable tone stack bypass to either channel pushes the amp to another dimension of overdriven tones. The Bloomfield Drive features a new sophisticated all tube spring reverb circuit specifically designed to not interfere with the overdrive channel so the reverb can be cranked and yet retain clear note definition, a sweet top end and touch sensitivity when pushing the lead gain. With the Send and Return control, you can tailor your reverb for any room or ambient effect you desire.
Our trade dress puts this amp in a sleek silver or classic black anodized chassis with gray tolex, silver thread grill cloth and blue accent piping. Not only will you stand out on stage with rich overdrive tones and classic Two-Rock cleans, but so will your rig!
The TS1 “Tone Secret” amp was originally released in 2010 and it has been one of the most iconic amplifiers we have had the pleasure to build.
The TS1 is a nod to the classic overdrive, cascading gain stage amplifier and we wanted to put our take on this design. Featuring a full tube buffered effects loop and an overdrive channel that is incredibly touch-sensitive with a rich sustain that will inspire you to express yourself in new and creative ways.
In 2020, we changed the layout from previous incarnations of this amplifier to give you more tonal shaping options and performance.
The Traditional Clean fills the void of a simple, huge, and clean pedal platform that you can just plug your guitar into and enjoy. This style of amplifier has always been extremely popular for Two-Rock and we have further refined this amp’s circuit.
The Traditional Clean has a very familiar layout, updated with new build techniques and internal layout designs.
The Traditional Clean’s unique voice is all things Two-Rock. This big, beautiful, clean tone combined with the articulate and lush all-tube analog reverb will make you want to play clean for hours, engulfed in the tactile response of your guitar. Then be amazed at how this amp brings out the best in all of your pedals as well! The chassis is finished in a beautiful gunmetal metallic color, covered in black bronco tolex with sparkle matrix grill cloth.
The Two-Rock Studio Signature is the latest generation of our single channel 35 watt amplifiers. Based on the original Studio Pro 35, the new Studio Signature model remains a clean, 6L6 powered solid pedal platform amplifier with several new upgrades that will ensure this amplifier’s continued legacy.
New build techniques, layouts, and materials implemented over the last few years were the key starting points to this amplifier’s new construction. The familiar Bright/Mid/Deep function toggle switches are now included as well as our 3-position Gain Structure switch feature, originally introduced on our Classic Reverb Signature amp, which essentially gives the player the option of three different preamp personalities to choose from. A reverb send control has been added on the rear panel while the reverb return control remains on the front panel.
New aluminum chassis, anodized in silver or black with new silver knobs, a black bronco cab, and a black matrix grill cloth give this amp a stunning new look.
The Burnside is our version of the legendary wide panel tweed circuit, and combines the dynamics and touch sensitivity of a vintage tweed amp with the modern clarity of a Two-Rock. The Burnside will instantly give you that classic vibe and feel along with the reliability and performance of a new amplifier.
This amp features a pair of 6L6’s producing 28 watts, with a GZ34 tube rectifier, and a 12AY7 in the preamp. You can swap this tube with a 12AX7 to increase the available gain in the amplifier. The user-friendly front panel control layout features a Bright switch, VOLUME, TREBLE, BASS, and PRESENCE controls. One of the great features of this amp, much like vintage tweed amps, is how the tone and volume controls interact with one another. At any volume, the gain is dependent on how hard you are attacking the strings, and when you turn the bass control all the way up, the bass imparts that horn-like, trombone low-end response.
This amp features a passive effects loop and 4, 8, and 16 OHM speaker outputs. The compact format amp chassis is finished in an elegant bronze color with cream lettering, and we’ve made a departure from birch to pine cabinets for more of that vintage feel and attack.
Available in either a head with matching 1×12 cab, or a 1×12 combo configuration. The 12″ speaker for this model is the WGS G12C.
The Two-Rock Effects Loop Interface is an effective tool when using outboard effects with any guitar amp that has a passive effects loop with a preamp output, and power amp input jack. The buffered interface eliminates the insertion signal loss of effects chains by eliminating impedance mismatches created by various outboard effects units. In addition, compensation for hi frequency signal loss resulting from multiple effects being daisy-chained as well as long cable runs can be implemented.
