With south californian Urban Red Ironbark back and sides, a new tonewood choosen by Andy Powers for its incredible sounds merging Indan Rosewood and Ebony characteristics, the TAYLOR 514ce Urban Ironbark/Torrefied Sitka Grand Auditorium acoustic/electric guitar delivers amazing blend of warmth, low-end presence and high-range sparkle.

Crafted with backs and sides of solid Urban Ironbark, a muscular, piano-like response that remains exceptionally balanced across the frequency spectrum. Urban Ironbark is sourced responsibly through our Urban Woods initiative, which also brought Urban Ash to the guitar world. Topped with torrefied Sitka spruce for an aged-in, mature sonic depth.

Elevated to new heights by V-Class bracing. Notes sustain longer, allowing Red Urban Ironbark rich overtones to bloom with more clarity than ever, and the advanced bracing scheme introduces greater power and tunefulness across the entire tonal spectrum for a rich and expressive sound.

Preloaded with the balanced and nuanced ES2 Expression System electronics and shipping in a deluxe hardcase, the 514ce features the classic low action and superbly well-balanced Taylor neck - that plays like a breeze and in tune all the way along the West African Ebony fretboard, with excellent intonation.

Visual appointments include a glossy back-and-side stain that draws out Urban Ironbark’s reddish hues, along with new Aerial inlays in Italian acrylic and faux pearl, faux tortoiseshell binding and pickguard, a single-ring abalone rosette trimmed with maple and black acrylic, and Taylor nickel tuners.
